An LED driver consisting of dimmable current regulators and a boost converter with adaptive reference tracking control (ARTC) is proposed. The ARTC is realized with only one integrator and one subtractor to detect the voltage variation among the current regulators and then to generate an adaptive reference tracking voltage. Based on the reference tracking voltage, the driving voltage of the boost converter is dynamically adjusted, so as to not only maintain a minimum voltage on the current regulator but also keep the required LED-string current. A prototype control circuit including ARTC and PWM control fabricated with TSMC 0.35-μm 2P4M CMOS process validates the proposed technique. The measurement results show that the driving voltage of the boost converter is automatically regulated to compensate for the voltage alteration on the current regulators. Furthermore, the overall efficiency of the LED driver with ARTC is 6.1% better than that of the LED driver without ARTC. 相似文献

ABSTRACTTo deal with the problem of conflicting requirements that cannot be satisfied by only a single LTI controller, this paper focuses on the design of a switching controller, which includes several stabilising linear time-invariant (LTI) controllers designed independently with different control performance criteria, for a specific LTI plant with a single I/O delay. The switching controller design procedure is divided into three steps. First, using simple loop shifting arguments, the design problem is reducible to an equivalent delay-free one. Second, traditional LTI controller synthesis methods could be considered independently for the delay-free plant. Third, based on a quadratically stable state space realisation method, a Youla parameter including a switching strategy with these controllers is designed to guarantee different requirements. This paper presents an extension of the recent multi-parametric (mp-)NCO-tracking methodology by Sun et al. [Comput. Chem. Eng. 92 (2016) 64–77] for the design of robust multi-parametric controllers for constrained continuous-time linear systems in the presence of uncertainty. We propose a robust-counterpart formulation and solution of multi-parametric dynamic optimization (mp-DO), whereby the constraints are backed-off based on a worst-case propagation of the uncertainty using either interval analysis or ellipsoidal calculus and an ancillary linear state feedback. We address the case of additive uncertainty, and we discuss approaches to dealing with multiplicative uncertainty that retain tractability of the mp-NCO-tracking design problem, subject to extra conservativeness. In order to assist with the implementation of these controllers, we also investigate the use of data classifiers based on deep learning for approximating the critical regions in continuous-time mp-DO problems, and subsequently searching for a critical region during on-line execution. We illustrate these developments with the case studies of a fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit and a chemical reactor cascade. 相似文献

Stability analysis is an essential issue in Min–Max multiregulator control strategy for commercial aircraft engines. In this paper, a Min–Max selector scheme along with a stability analysis method is provided for aeroengine propulsion control. It is assumed that the main regulator is a dynamic compensator and the limit regulators are constant gains. The regulators are determined in such a way that the individual control loops are stable. However, due to the switching nature of Min–Max structure, the stability of single loops does not necessarily ensure the overall system stability. In order to analyze the stability of the presented Min–Maxapproach, the architecture of the control system is transformed into the canonical form of Lure’s system and the condition for absolute stability is specified using Multivariable Circle Criterion. The theoretical results can also be applied to investigate the stability of min-only or max-only schemes. Afterwards, using the provided methodology, the global asymptotic stability is proved for the control system of a high bypass two-spool turbofan engine and the performance of the designed Min–Max controller in tracking a desired fan speed and limit protection in fault-free and fault tolerant situations is compared with the well-known Min–Max/SMC approach. 相似文献

A replicated multi-response experiment is a process that includes more than one responses with replications. One of the main objectives in these experiments is to estimate the unknown relationship between responses and input variables simultaneously. In general, classical regression analysis is used for modeling of the responses. However, in most practical problems, the assumptions for regression analysis cannot be satisfied. In this case, alternative modeling methods such as fuzzy logic based modeling approaches can be used. In this study, fuzzy least squares regression (FLSR) and fuzzy clustering based modeling methods, which are switching fuzzy C-regression (SFCR) and Takagi–Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model, are preferred. The novelty of the study is presenting the applicability of SFCR to the multi-response experiment data set with replicated response measures. Three real data set examples are given for application purposes. In order to compare the prediction performance of modeling approaches, root mean square error (RMSE) criteria is used. It is seen from the results that the SFCR gives the better prediction performance among the other fuzzy modeling approaches for the replicated multi-response experimental data sets. 相似文献
